Phystech.International Olympiads are aimed at identification and development of talented young people.
Participation in the Olympiads gives them a chance to prove themselves in the field of mathematics and physics. For many winners this is an opportunity to get the highest score at the exam in the relevant subject or enroll at the MIPT without exams, to be included into the database of promising and talented students, to receive diplomas and valuable gifts.
Tenth grade students will be able to test themselves in solving tough problems in physics and mathematics. In case of successful performance, they will have a preferential right in participating in the MIPT educational activities for schoolchildren. Winners among the final classes (11-12) will receive benefits when entering the MIPT University.
Olympiad consists of two rounds. First round is a qualifying round and will be conducted online. The second round will be held in person, in the cities of the participating countries, separately for mathematics and physics. Participation in the competition is free.
In order to start solving problems, the participant must click “Begin the competition” or “Continue competition” button in the appropriate subject at the event line. These buttons will be available during the online stage. After clicking one of them, the participant will have access to problems and will be able to fill the answer boxes and edit them from 20 October until 22 November. After that all responses will be saved and closed for editing.
The participants of the online stage will be counted as winners of 1st , 2nd , 3rd grade according to the amount of points they have gained during the competition in each of subjects. They will also be invited to the second stage of the competition. The exact address of the place where the second stage will be held will be available on the website after the end of the first stage.
